Can this app measure my tire pressure?
No. Your iPhone has no way to sense what is inside your tires. The app takes the target pressure you entered and estimates how the current temperature would shift that reading. To know your actual pressure you still need a gauge at the tire.
Why do the numbers differ from the usual "1 psi per 10 degrees" rule?
Because those quick rules apply the temperature ratio directly to gauge pressure. Pressure ratios only work in absolute terms, so the app converts gauge to absolute pressure first, applies the ratio, then converts back. Skipping that conversion overstates the change by roughly 40 percent.
Do I need a TPMS sensor or any Bluetooth hardware?
No. There is nothing to buy, install or pair. Everything is calculated from the placard value you type in and the temperature.
What counts as a cold tire?
A tire that has been parked for three hours or more and has not been driven yet — typically first thing in the morning. Driving heats the air inside and raises the reading, so pressures only compare properly when they are taken cold.
Which pressure should I enter as my target?
The one on the placard in your driver's door jamb (or in your owner's manual) — that value is the authority, not the number moulded into the tire sidewall, which is a maximum rather than a recommendation.
Where does the temperature come from, and what happens to my location?
From the Open-Meteo public forecast service. Your coordinates are rounded before the request goes out, and they are never stored on a server or shared with anyone. You can also turn location off and set the temperature by hand.
Can I set different pressures front and rear?
Yes. Each vehicle has separate front and rear targets, which matters for motorcycles, loaded trailers and plenty of cars.
Are there subscriptions or in-app purchases?
None. It is a one-time purchase and everything is included, with no ads and no account to create.
