FAQ

How accurate is the area measurement?

Tapping on the map is as accurate as the points you place — zoom right in and tap each corner carefully for the best result. GPS walking depends on your phone's GPS fix, which is usually within a few metres out in the open. That is plenty for spraying and feeding jobs, but for legal or boundary purposes you should always rely on a proper survey.

Does Spray Mix work offline?

Yes. All the calculations, saved products and saved plots work with no connection at all. The satellite map needs an internet connection the first time you view an area; once loaded, you can carry on working offline — handy at the allotment or in fields with poor signal.

How do I measure powders without scales?

Switch the product to powder and Spray Mix shows the amount in grams, along with the equivalent in teaspoons and tablespoons. Because powders vary in density, you can set how many grams your teaspoon holds for each product — weigh one spoonful once, enter the figure, and every calculation from then on uses it.

The label says something different from the app. Which should I follow?

Always follow the product label. Spray Mix is a calculator: it converts the ratio or rate you enter into quantities, but the label is the law. Read and follow the label's rates, safety directions and restrictions, and only use the app's results within what the label permits.

Where is my data kept?

Everything — your products, ratios, plots and plans — is stored only on your iPhone or iPad. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and we cannot see your data. Delete the app and the data goes with it.
