FAQ

How does ShoeMile track mileage?

Connect Apple Health and your running, walking and hiking workouts are added to your active pair automatically. You can also tap to log a distance by hand or backfill past runs — no Health connection required.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

No. If you record workouts with an Apple Watch or another app that writes to Apple Health, your kays flow in on their own. Without a watch, just log each run manually in a couple of taps.

Is this a subscription?

No. ShoeMile is free for two pairs, and unlimited pairs plus weekly history graphs unlock with a single one-time purchase. There are no recurring charges.

Where is my data stored?

Everything stays on your device. There's no account and no sign-up. Apple Health is read only, so your workout data is never changed or sent anywhere.

How do I set a pair's lifespan?

When you add a pair, set a lifespan such as 800 km / 500 mi and the date you started running in it. The wear bar and the distance remaining update from there. Lifespan is your own estimate — every runner and surface is different.
