FAQ
Do I need an account or internet?
No. RowYield works entirely on your device, with no account, login, or network connection required at any point.
Where do the numbers come from?
Every fertilizer rate and yield figure comes from published Japanese prefectural or national agricultural guidance, or from seed-company cultivation manuals. Each source is named and linked in the app.
Can I use these figures in my country?
The rates are Japanese. Soil, climate, and growing practices vary widely by region, so check your local agricultural recommendations before planting.
Why don't you give a total harvest weight for tomatoes?
Tomatoes fruit for months, and the total yield swings wildly with pruning, watering, and weather. Published sources don't state a single 'right' answer. RowYield shows the harvest window and weekly pace instead — more useful, more honest.
What if the app says 'No yield figure'?
Some vegetables appear in spacing and timing tables but not in published yield data. The app tells you plant count and dates, and explains that yield figures aren't published. It doesn't guess.
Can I record what I actually harvest?
Yes. After you harvest, record the date and weight. After two seasons, the app begins to learn your garden's patterns and can offer predictions based on your own history, with the published figures kept alongside for reference.
