Do I need a special striping kit or a roller mower?
No. A roller makes the stripes stand out more, but any mower bends the grass as it passes, and that bend is what you see. MowLine's guide works with a push mower or a ride-on alike.
Why do my real stripes look fainter than the preview?
Usually the grass is cut too short, or you're mowing in the same direction every week. Raise the cutting height a notch and change direction each time — MowLine suggests a new one for you.
What sort of photo works best?
A shot taken from a bit of height, looking across the lawn rather than straight down, with the whole area in frame. Even light helps the pattern read clearly.
Are my lawn photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens on your iPhone. MowLine has no servers, no accounts and no analytics.
Can I save designs for more than one lawn?
Yes. Keep a separate history for the front garden, the back garden or any other area, and MowLine remembers the last pattern and direction you used on each.
