Why might the suggested colors not work?
The suggested colors are rules of thumb built from general angling experience, not a guarantee. Water conditions vary by season, region, and time of day. Fish behavior depends on many factors beyond lure color—feed times, forage species, and water temperature all matter. The app is a framework for choosing intentionally, not a promise of catches.
Does the app send my camera data anywhere?
No. The app analyzes camera frames on your device only. The app does not store or send your camera footage, photos, location, or any readings to the developer or any third party. Everything stays on your phone.
Can I use this app without an internet connection?
Yes. LureColorCam works fully offline. The app does not require a network connection to read water color, show suggestions, or keep your log. It also does not use GPS, weather APIs, or any online services.
Is all my data kept on my device only?
Yes. All readings, place notes, target fish records, and photos are stored only on your device using SwiftData. Nothing is synced to the cloud, backed up externally, or sent anywhere. Your data stays yours.
