FAQ

Does FlockNote identify birds from photos?

No, on purpose. FlockNote is for birders who already know what they saw. Typing the name is faster than waiting for photo recognition when you can identify the bird yourself.

How do I log a sighting?

Type the bird's name, add a note about where you were if you like, and tap log. The sighting is saved automatically with the date and location note.

What are the quick buttons for?

They show your most recently logged species, so if the same bird shows up again, you can log it with a single tap instead of typing the name again.

Does FlockNote need an internet connection?

No. FlockNote works fully offline and stores everything on your device. There's no account or sign-up required.
