Need a hand with CountDeck? Start with the how-to steps and FAQ below. If you still have a question, we're happy to help.

Getting started

Create a counter

Tap + on the Counters tab, then give your counter a name, colour, icon and (optionally) a target and step value.

Count

Open the counter and tap the big + or − buttons. Attach a photo or note, or turn on location if you want to record where you counted.

Use categories

Add category buttons (e.g. Adults / Children) to split one counter into labelled groups and see the breakdown plus the total.

Group & combine

Create a group to combine several counters into one automatic total and rank them.

View reports

Open the report to see hourly graphs, cumulative charts, peak time, average and totals — then export to CSV or JSON.

Switch the display

Turn any counter into a scoreboard, large display, number-calling or queue view to match how you're using it.

Frequently asked questions

Is CountDeck really a one-time purchase?
Yes. CountDeck is buy-once. There is no subscription, no ads and no in-app purchases to unlock features.
Does it work offline?
Completely. CountDeck stores everything on your device and never requires an internet connection or an account.
Where is my data stored?
All counters, history, photos and locations are stored locally on your device. Nothing is uploaded to a server.
Can I export my counts?
Yes. You can export your counts and history to CSV or JSON to open in a spreadsheet, share, or keep as a backup.
How does category counting work?
Add category buttons to a counter (for example Adults / Children / Staff). Each tap adds to that category, and CountDeck shows both the breakdown and the combined total.
Can several people count together?
Yes. Team counting lets nearby devices count into the same session over a local connection, with safeguards against double-counting.
Does it support Apple Watch and widgets?
Yes. You can count from your wrist on Apple Watch and see your counters at a glance with widgets.
Which languages are supported?
CountDeck's interface is available in many languages, including full right-to-left layout for Arabic and Hebrew.
